Doug is a results-oriented, proven and seasoned leader who has expert communication skills and works through a leadership style in a coaching manner. Doug helps learning organizations propel their momentum through a lens of continuous quality improvement. Doug holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Arts (Leadership), and is finalizing his Master of Business Administration.
The best education and learning Doug has gained is from his experience working flipping hamburgers, being a frontline paramedic, and leading health care teams while transforming systems, to a municipal councillor and now Mayor. Doug knows the value of hard work and a strong work ethic. His vast experience in health care has provided a well-rounded observation of what works and can be improved.
