Helping Hands will treat all clients courteously and respectfully, including respect for their dignity and privacy, promotion of their autonomy and will recognize their individuality.
Our team will work with the participation of clients and families to identify their needs. Clients can include their ‘family’ – however they wish it defined.
Our team will honor a client’s right to give or refuse consent. In the event a client is incapable of making their own decisions a substitute decision maker may support decision making at any time.
Our team will provide clear communication about what services to expect and ensure easy access to information about services and eligibility criteria through a single point of contact and website.
The client record containing relevant personal health information will be accessible to every member of the identified care team- including clients and their family.
