Bringing Independence Home

Community Support Services for Seniors and Adults with Physical Disabilities

A Message from Shelley Cameron, CEO

To our valued Clients and Families,

As the current situation with CoVid-19 continues to evolve, we want to assure you that Helping Hands is committed to keeping you and our employees safe, healthy and supported to the best of our ability.

Although the main office on West Street has closed to visitors, we will make every effort to continue to provide essential services such as transportation, Meals on Wheels, and personal support as able.  You may expect a temporary change or delay in some of your regular services but anyone affected by this will be contacted.

To support our employees and other clients we may come in contact with, we would ask that you please advise the main office ahead of time in the event you or someone you have been in contact with has recently traveled internationally or if you are currently ill.

Please note that we are still accepting payment via Visa, Mastercard, and Visa Debit, electronic transfers, and cheques (which can be dropped in the mail slot at the back door of our main office).

Thank you in advance for your support and understanding as we work through this difficult time.

Community In-Home Care & Caregiver Support Services

Helping Hands was established in 1972 and has had a proud history of serving clients in our community by assisting them to live independently, support them in their journey of aging, and to maintain and enhance their quality of life. As a multi-service, registered charitable organization, Helping Hands serves older adults and adults with physical disabilities residing in Orillia and surrounding townships of Severn, Oro-Medonte and Ramara, as well as Barrie and Muskoka. Our services have evolved over the years to meet the needs of our clients and to support our health care system. However, providing in-home care and caregiver support remains at the heart of Helping Hands.
