Job Title: Manager of Administration and Transportation

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Orillia

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexibility required, on-call hours and responsibilities for weekends shared with other managers.

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Description: The Manager of Administration and Transportation Services is responsible for supervising services and activities of Helping Hands main office, Transportation, and Meals on Wheels Programs.  The position is responsible for supervising staff, including administrative support staff, schedulers, volunteers and transportation service workers performing these duties, performing management duties, conducting performance reviews, completing shadow shifts and quality control checks, coordinating professional development, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
  1. Diploma or degree in the Health Care/Human/Community Services or equivalent
  2. Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certifications required or ability to acquire
  3. Residential Facility Supervision
  4. 5 years supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to lead staff
  5. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  6. Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the existing and new programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  7. Ability to work well under pressure
  8. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  9. Maintained computer proficiency, with knowledge of scheduling software systems. Learn and maintain knowledge of AlayaCare , HRIS systems (Quadrant), and Microsoft Office Solutions
  10. A strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, applicable privacy legislation, Patients First Act, and other related Acts, Bills and regulations
  11. Firm understanding of M-SAA requirements including related MOHLTC Policies and Agreements
  12. Indigenous Cultural Safety Training recommended
  13. Proficiency in French Language is an asset.
